The Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector offer wonderful apprenticeship opportunities to young people. Apprenticeships combine on-the-job training with academic training to prepare a candidate for a specific role within a company, or in the industry.  A banking apprenticeship is a real job where an apprentice is employed to do real work. They acquire skills, qualifications, and a salary for that particular duration. Today, only theoretical knowledge is not enough to get into the banking sector. You need to have practical knowledge too. So if you are sitting at home and wonder how to excel in your career, consider doing an apprenticeship.

Apprenticeship provides students with a university-level qualification and employment experience. Getting into employment means there's a wide possibility for you to progress in your career quickly. You can also earn a good salary much earlier in your life. Hands-on training gives you a real chance to apply your skills into practice and boosts your confidence in a working environment. It is all about learning while doing and learning from the experienced seniors from the industry. Even traditional universities are suggesting apprenticeship to their students as they are realizing that the age-old institute enthusiasm has produced too many graduates but have failed to deliver a recruitable workforce. This structure is also benefitting the BFSI industry as it is suffering from high attrition shortfall of trained manpower. Various NBFCs, microfinance, and insurance companies are considering this channel as their dependable supply chan. As per a study, students trained early in their formative years are more likely to perform better in their job. If a university seeds apprenticeship programs, they blend theoretical and practical learning for students. Looking at the geographical spread of universities, through their affiliated colleges and distance education, these programs hold a unique advantage- it trains a large number of students spread across smaller town and villages alike.
